Everything you need to know

Practical info

Nine questions, nine answers. Unfold the ones that interest you.

Where do we run, and when?In the Oriental desert, in Morocco.
  • The Love Trail runs from Wednesday, October 28 to Sunday, November 1, 2026, La Boucle de l’Étoile from Wednesday, November 4 to Sunday, November 8, 2026. A team welcomes you on site.
Where do we stay?Four nights in a double or traditional tent.
  • Caïdale tents for 4 or 6 people for runners and walkers in teams. Solo tent and sleeping bag available as paid options. Every tent has comfortable memory foam mattresses.
Where, what and when do we eat?Breakfast and dinner at the bivouac, lunch box out on the course.
  • A post-race buffet is laid out for you. Mineral water, fresh fruit and dried fruit at the checkpoints. The lunch box must be brought back for waste sorting.
Where do we wash?Enough showers and toilets, with separate areas.
  • The bivouac has showers with separate women’s and men’s areas. Water is managed by the logistics team, using natural and recycled water.
How do we get there? We take care of you at Oujda airport, both ways.
  • The return flight to Oujda is not included. Transport to the bivouac is by bus and minibus, to reduce our carbon footprint.
Is it safe?Bivouac and courses guarded 24/7.
  • Personal safety is ensured by qualified high mountain guides, the race safety team and its sweepers, the Auxiliary Forces and the Royal Gendarmerie.
What about medical care?A full medical team, present at all times.
  • The event is covered by our medical partner, a specialist in international outdoor events: emergency physician, doctor, nurse, medical logistician, emergency pharmacy, dedicated medical tent and vehicles.
Is the race officially registered?Yes, with the Moroccan authorities.
  • The administrative and police authorities are alongside us for the whole duration of the event.
What about ecology?Zero-waste bivouac, marked and respected courses.
  • All waste is sorted, collected and recycled after the race, and plastics are turned into new products. The courses are traced to minimise the impact on the natural environment.
